Bringing image and video generation into the same chat keeps more of the visual workflow inside the project context and reduces the number of steps needed to move from an idea to a usable asset.
What Happened
Kombai shipped the update in version 2.0.102 on August 31, 2026. Alongside chat-based image and video generation, the release added Inspiration Library search from chat, clearer inline diagram rendering, and dedicated website accessibility and SEO audits. Kombai also changed AI design generation so it can stop refining once a design already looks clean instead of always running a fixed number of passes.
What's Next
The direction to watch is how much of the design workflow Kombai can keep inside one agent conversation. Asset generation, inspiration search, audits and canvas work are increasingly becoming connected actions rather than separate tools.
