Facts and perspective
Material factual claims should be presented as facts only when they are supported appropriately. Opinion, commentary, and personal perspective should remain identifiable as perspective where the distinction matters.
- Do not fabricate hands-on testing, use, measurement, or direct experience.
- Do not present an opinion or inference as verified fact.
- Use language that matches the strength of the available evidence.
Sources, uncertainty, and corrections
Use sources appropriate to material factual claims, make meaningful uncertainty or limitations visible, and correct material factual errors when they are discovered.
Representation and disclosure
Relevant commercial relationships should be disclosed clearly when applicable.
- Do not fabricate ratings, consensus, scarcity, partnerships, endorsements, or performance claims.
- Do not imply that a company produced, sponsored, or endorsed TUF content or products unless that relationship is accurate and expressly stated.
